This medication is primarily employed to alleviate symptoms associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), such as abdominal pain or fullness, gas, diarrhea, and constipation. This medication can also be used post-abdominal surgery to stimulate intestinal movement and prevent paralytic ileus, a condition characterized by intestinal blockage. Trimebutine belongs to the class of medications called spasmolytics.
Uses and Dosage
Take this medication orally before meals as instructed by your doctor, typically three times a day.
