Description

Indications

Trimebutine is utilized to regulate the movement of the intestinal tract, promoting normal functioning. It has the ability to either slow down or speed up intestinal movement, depending on the condition of the gut. This medication is primarily employed to alleviate symptoms associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), such as abdominal pain or fullness, gas, diarrhea, and constipation. This medication can also be used post-abdominal surgery to stimulate intestinal movement and prevent paralytic ileus, a condition characterized by intestinal blockage. Trimebutine belongs to the class of medications called spasmolytics.
