Description

Indications

Toremifene is employed in the treatment of breast cancer that has metastasized to other parts of the body in postmenopausal women. Belonging to a class of medications known as nonsteroidal antiestrogens, toremifene functions by inhibiting the activity of estrogen within the breast. This action may impede the growth of certain breast tumors that rely on estrogen for their development.

Consistently use this medication to derive the maximum benefit. To facilitate consistent usage, take it at the same time each day.

Refrain from consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice while using this medication, unless your doctor or pharmacist explicitly states that it is safe to do so. Grapefruit has the potential to increase the likelihood of side effects associated with this medicine. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

As this drug can be absorbed through the skin and lungs, it is advised that pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should avoid handling this medication or inhaling dust from the tablets.
