It specifically targets fungal skin infections and is not effective against other types of skin infections.
Uses and Dosage
The combination of nystatin and triamcinolone is available in both ointment and cream forms for topical application to the skin. Typically, this medication is applied twice daily, and the treatment duration should not exceed 2 weeks.
Adhere to the prescribed usage of nystatin and triamcinolone—avoid using more or less than directed, and refrain from exceeding the recommended frequency set by your doctor.
Before application, ensure the affected area is thoroughly washed. Apply a modest amount of the cream or ointment and gently massage it into the skin.
If applying the medication to your face, be cautious to keep it away from your eyes.
When using this medication on a child’s diaper area, avoid tightly fitting diapers or plastic pants, as they may enhance the absorption of triamcinolone, potentially affecting the child’s growth.
Continue using the medication for the entire prescribed duration, even if symptoms subside within a few days. Abruptly stopping the treatment could lead to a recurrence of the infection.
Inform your doctor if there is no improvement after a week or if your condition worsens.

- It is uncertain whether this drug passes into breast milk. If you are breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using this medication.
