Description

Indications

This medication is employed to address infertility in women who do not produce a sufficient amount of a specific natural hormone known as progesterone. Progesterone is crucial for maintaining pregnancy. This medication is also used to reinstate menstrual cycles in women whose cycles have ceased. By providing supplemental progesterone, this medication aims to support fertility, sustain pregnancy, and restore the natural rhythm of menstrual cycles.

Uses and Dosage

This medication is intended for vaginal use exclusively. Remove the wrapper and prepare the applicator according to the provided instructions. If you use this medication at altitudes above 2,500 feet (762 meters), follow additional instructions for preparing the applicator.

For the treatment of infertility, administer this medication as per your doctor’s instructions, usually once or twice a day. If you conceive, continue using this medication for 10-12 weeks as directed, until your body is capable of producing its own progesterone.

If you are using this medication to restore your menstrual cycle, follow your doctor’s instructions, typically using it every other day for a total of up to 6 doses.

If directed to use other vaginal products, ensure a time separation of at least 6 hours between their application and the progesterone gel.

Administer this medication regularly to maximize its benefits. To facilitate adherence, use it at the same time(s) each day.

Avoid increasing your dose or using this drug more frequently or for a more extended period than prescribed. Doing so will not expedite your recovery, but it may elevate the risk of side effects.
