Description
Indications
Flutamide, in combination with a luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone agonist (LHRH), is prescribed for specific forms of prostate cancer treatment. Belonging to the category of nonsteroidal antiandrogens, flutamide functions by inhibiting the actions of androgen, a male hormone, thus halting the proliferation and dissemination of cancerous cells.
Uses and Dosage
Take this medication orally, either with or without food, according to your doctor’s instructions, typically three times a day.
