Description

Drug Description:

This medicine is used to treat acute nonlymphocytic leukemia. Store in a dry place between 59 and 77 degrees F. How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Carefully read the information provided with this medicine. This medicine will be given by a qualified health care provider who is experienced with the use of cancer medications. You must be under medical supervision while taking this medication. Contact your health care provider at once if you experience any of the following: Fever; sore throat; yellowing of the skin or eyes; vomiting, signs of infection; bleeding from any site; chills. Women of childbearing potential should avoid becoming pregnant while taking this medicine. Lab tests will be required to monitor therapy. Be sure to keep appointments. Patients with other medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not take over-the-counter or prescription medications or dietary supplements without talking with your health care provider. This includes any herbal preparations or dietary supplements. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine Before using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any other prescription medicine, nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement if you have any other medical condition Most severe:  Loss of appetite; yellowing of the skin or eyes; tenderness in the upper right abdominal area; severe allergic reaction (giant hives; rash; chest tightness; difficulty breathing; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue). Most common:  Nausea; vomiting; loss of appetite; inflammation of the mouth.
