This medication is prescribed to address specific fertility issues in women. It contains follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH), which work together to encourage the ovaries to produce healthy eggs. Typically, it’s administered alongside another hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), to facilitate pregnancy by promoting the growth and release of a mature egg (ovulation).

The manufacturer advises not exceeding 450 international units per day, and the medication shouldn’t be used for more than 12 days per treatment cycle.

Side Effects
Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention:

- pain, rash, swelling, or irritation at place of injection or elsewhere on the body
- stomach cramping
Inform your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any serious side effects:
- severe abdominal or pelvic pain, bloating, cramping, or discomfort
- abnormal vaginal bleeding
- sudden trouble with vision
- sudden severe and unusual headache
- weakness
- difficulty speaking
- itchy body rash
- difficulty breathing
- swelling of the face, mouth, throat, or tongue
Caution
- Inform your doctor or pharmacist about any allergies you have, including allergies to this medication, other products containing follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) or luteinizing hormone (LH), or any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients that could trigger allergic reactions or other issues.
- Before using this medication, disclose your medical history to your doctor or pharmacist, particularly if you have: other fertility issues, abnormal uterine/vaginal bleeding, thyroid or adrenal gland disorders, reproductive organ cancer, brain tumor, ovarian cysts or enlarged ovaries (not related to polycystic ovary syndrome), ovarian torsion, personal or family history of blood clots, blood clotting disorders (like thrombophilia), obesity, history of stroke, specific heart conditions, or lung conditions.
- This medication may cause dizziness. Alcohol or marijuana can increase this effect. Refrain from driving, operating machinery, or engaging in activities requiring alertness until you can do so safely.
- Multiple births may result from this treatment. Consult your doctor for more information.
- Discontinue use of this medication upon becoming pregnant, as it must not be used during pregnancy. If you suspect you’re pregnant, notify your doctor immediately.
- It’s unclear whether this drug passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.

How quickly does Repronex work?
Repronex will be fully absorbed by the body about 18 hours after your dose, but you usually need to use this medication for about 2 weeks.
Does Repronex cause twins?
Yes, Repronex can cause twins. This medication can get more than one egg ready to ovulate. Be aware there is a higher risk of becoming pregnant with more than one baby with Repronex.
