Drug Description:

This medicine is used in adults to treat ulcers of the stomach and upper small intestine. It is also used to treat GERD (the bubbling of stomach contents into the food pipe, which causes heartburn). Doctors may occasionally prescribe it for other reasons.Store Capsule between 68 to 77 degrees F. Notify your doctor if there are any symptoms that suggest a bleeding ulcer, such as black, tarry stools or “”coffee-ground”” or bloody vomit. Lab tests or exams may be required. Be sure to keep appointments. Do not stop taking or change the dose unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications or dietary supplements without talking with your doctor. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor.
