Drug Description:

This medicine is used to treat athlete’s foot in patients over 12 years of age. It may also be used to treat jock itch and ringworm in patients over 12 years of age.Store at room temperature out of the reach of children in a tightly closed container, protect from heat and lightHow much medicine you apply and how often you apply it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Wash the infected skin area and surrounding areas with soap and water and dry completely. Do not cover the treated skin with any bandages. For athlete’s foot between the toes only, apply to the affected area twice a day (morning and evening) for 1 week or as directed by your health care provider. For athlete’s foot on the bottom or side of the foot, apply twice a day (morning and night) for 2 weeks or as directed by your health care provider. Wash your hands with soap and water after touching the infected skin so that you do not spread the infection on yourself or to others. For jock itch or ringworm, apply to affected area once a day (morning or night) for 1 week or as directed by your health care provider. Your skin may continue to show signs of infection until the outer layer of the treated skin naturally replaces itself. If you do not see improvement within 4 weeks for athlete’s foot and within 2 weeks for jock itch and ringworm, consult your doctor. Stop using this medicine and contact your health care provider if you experience increased redness, itching, burning, blistering, swelling, oozing of the skin. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications or dietary supplements without talking with your health care provider. Do not apply more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. For use in children under 12, contact your doctor. Patients with other medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. If an application is missed, apply it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next apply, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised to by your health care provider.
