Drug Description:

This medicine is used to help lower the pressure inside the eye in patients with open-angle glaucoma and other eye conditions.Store solution between 59 to 86 degrees F. Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct heat and light. Replace cap immediately after use. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Avoid touching the tip of the eye drop applicator to the eye or the surrounding area. If handled improperly, eye solutions can become contaminated. Be sure to place the cap on the eye solution securely and promptly after using. If you wear soft contact lenses, wait at least 15 minutes after using the eye drops before putting in your contact lenses. Tell your doctor if you are using this medication and plan to have surgery or develop an infection, or suffer eye injury. You may have to temporarily stop using this medication. Eye pressure will have to be monitored periodically by your doctor. Be sure to keep appointments. Diabetes patients – This medicine can hide signs of low blood sugar levels. Your doctor may need to change your dose of diabetes medicine. Do not stop taking this medication without checking with your doctor. Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medication. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your doctor. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor.
