This medication is employed to alleviate symptoms associated with excessive stomach acid, including stomach upset, heartburn, and acid indigestion. Aluminum and magnesium antacids act rapidly to reduce stomach acidity. Typically, liquid antacids exhibit quicker or more effective results compared to tablets or capsules. This medication solely addresses existing acid levels in the stomach and does not prevent acid production. It can be used independently or in conjunction with other medications that decrease acid production.
Uses and Dosage
Take this medication orally, typically after meals and before bedtime, as required. Adhere to all instructions provided on the product packaging or as directed by your physician.
For chewable tablets, thoroughly chew before swallowing, then drink a full glass of water (8 ounces or 240 milliliters).
If utilizing the liquid form, ensure to shake the bottle well before dispensing each dose. Storing the suspension in the refrigerator may enhance its taste, but do not freeze it. The liquid form is most effective when taken without additional fluids. If necessary, you can mix your dose with a small amount of water.
This product may interact with other medications (such as digoxin, iron, pazopanib, tetracycline antibiotics, quinolone antibiotics like ciprofloxacin), hindering their full absorption by your body. Discuss with your doctor or pharmacist how to schedule your medications to prevent this issue.
If your acid-related symptoms persist or worsen after using this product for a week, or if you suspect a serious medical condition, seek medical assistance promptly. If you’re using this medication regularly for more than two weeks, it’s possible you may have a medical issue requiring different treatment.

Caution
- Before initiating this product, inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have allergies to aluminum hydroxide, magnesium, or any other substances. Inactive ingredients in this product might trigger allergic reactions or other complications.
- If you have any of the following conditions, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this product: frequent alcohol consumption, dehydration or fluid intake restrictions, kidney issues (including kidney stones).
- This medication might contain aspartame. If you have phenylketonuria (PKU) or any other condition requiring limited intake of aspartame (or phenylalanine), discuss the safe use of this drug with your doctor or pharmacist.
- During pregnancy, only use this medication when absolutely necessary. Discuss the potential risks and benefits with your doctor.
- This medication may pass into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
