Drug Description:
This medicine is used to treat athlete’s foot, jock itch, ringworm, and other fungal infections of the skin in patients over 2 years of age.Store at controlled room temperature (59 to 86 degrees F). Protect from freezing.How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. This medicine is for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. Apply this medicine to the affected as directed by your health care provider. This medicine should be applied in small amounts between the fingers or toes to avoid skin wasting. Relief of symptoms may occur within 2 to 3 days of use. Jock itch, and psoriasis and other skin infections are usually treated for 2 weeks. Athlete’s foot is usually treated for 1 month in order to prevent the infection from returning. Patients with tinea versicolor usually show improvement after 2 weeks of use. Stop use of this medicine and contact your health care provider if sensitivity or irritation occurs. If symptoms have not improved after 1 month of use, contact your health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised to by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider.Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine. Unless your doctor tells you to, you should not use topical antifungals on children under 2 years of age. You should not use for diaper rash.Before using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding if you are taking any other prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have diabetes if you have kidney or liver problems if you have any other medical conditionIf irritation occurs, or there is no improvement following the full treatment period, discontinue use of this medicine and see a doctor. Avoid contact with the eyes; if this happens, rinse thoroughly with water. This medicine is for external use only. Do not use in children under 2 years of age unless directed by a doctor. Contra Indication:
Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine. Unless your doctor tells you to, you should not use topical antifungals on children under 2 years of age. You should not use for diaper rash.
